A bit about me

My story

It all started when I hit financial rock bottom.

I was standing in my kitchen, staring into an almost-empty fridge, realizing I didn’t have enough money for both groceries and gas. My credit cards were maxed out, and my bank account was nearly empty. My short-term solution was to go to a food donation line at a local church. (It’s ironic because I used to volunteer at food donation centers.) That was the moment I knew something had to change.

I made a decision to face what I had been avoiding — my money. I learned how to budget, pay off debt, and understand my finances in a way that actually made sense. It wasn’t quick or easy. It was slow, messy, and full of trial and error. But over time, clarity replaced chaos, and I finally found peace around money.

Once I climbed out of that hole, I realized I could help others do the same. That’s when Lively Financial Coaching was born.

At first, I focused on personal finance coaching. But when I started running my own business, I discovered a new challenge: managing business money is a completely different learning curve. No one tells you how to deal with inconsistent income, price your services, or pay yourself with confidence. I had to figure it all out — the long way.

Now, my mission is to help women fast-track through that same learning curve — so they can build a business that supports their life, not one that runs it.

Who I Help

My Certifications

I believe in growth and life-long learning. To this end, in 2023 I completed Financial Coach Academy, the industry’s leading financial coach training program. The Academy is like an MBA for financial coaches. My desire to continue to grow led me next to Coach Connections, LLC, a financial coach mastermind membership. As a member, I have access to the industry's best practices, stay abreast of new resources, and have access to a diverse group of coaches in case your situation requires specialized assistance.
